Arrive at San Pedro Sula, we will meet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel, overnight at San Pedro Sula.
Today we will have a half day tour of San Pedro Sula, known as the industrial capital of Honduras, a modern bustling city that treasures its rich history and tradition of the banana emporium era, a tour of a banana plantation and packing station as well as commercial and residential areas are included along with a visit to the local artisans market. In the afternoon, we depart for Copan to arrive later in the evening, overnight at Copan.
In the morning, we will have a guided tour of the main archaeological site that features the hieroglyphic staircase, the ball court and the famous stelas; in the afternoon, learn about the various artifacts and art work carved in stone at the Museum of Maya sculpture and the Museum of Archaeology, where you will see a recreation of the Rosalila Temple in the tunnels, evening is at your disposal to stroll around the cobble stoned streets of the town of Copan and visit its numerous restaurants, coffee and souvenir shops, overnight at Copan.
No visit to Copan can be complete without a close encounter with the quarters of the royal families at “Las Sepulturas” site, we will complete our Copan visit with a tour of the Macaw Mountain Bird Sanctuary, evening is free, overnight at Copan.
Today we are on our way ton the port town of La Ceiba, known as the eco adventure hub in Honduras, we will have an intermediate visit to Lancetilla Botanical Park, a former research center founded by United Fruit where a large collection of plants and trees from all over the world can be seen; we will arrive at La Ceiba mid afternoon, evening free, overnight at La Ceiba.
The morning will be filled with adrenaline and excitement as we join the whitewater rafting tour on the Cangrejal river for an exhilarating ride on class III and IV river rapids and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty, afternoon and evening at leisure, overnight at La Ceiba.
After breakfast, we depart for the community of La Union to catch the railroad cart and travel into Cuero Y Salado Wildlife Refuge, here, we will take a boat tour on the mangrove channels, the reserve is home to a wide variety of birds, spider and howler monkeys can be easily spotted as well as crocodiles and with luck one might see one of the endangered manatees that lives here, this is a half day excursion; mid afternoon, we will head back to San Pedro Sula for overnight, evening free.
At the appropriate time, we will drive you to the airport to catch your international departure flight.
