ITINERARY

DAY 01

Arrive at San Pedro Sula, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel, evening is at leisure, Hotel Clarion

DAY 02

Today we will have a half day tour of San Pedro Sula, known as the industrial capital of Honduras, a modern bustling city that treasures its rich history and tradition of the banana emporium era, a tour of a banana plantation and packing station as well as commercial and residential areas are included along with a visit to the local artisans market. In the afternoon, we depart for Copan to arrive later in the evening, Hotel Marina

DAY 03

In the morning, we will have a guided tour of the main archaeological site that features the hieroglyphic staircase, the ball court and the famous stelas, in the afternoon, discover the various artifacts and art work carved in stone at the museum of Maya sculpture and the museum of archaeology, evening is at your disposal to stroll around the cobble stoned streets of the town of Copan and visit its numerous restaurants, coffee and souvenir shops, Hotel Marina

DAY 04

No visit to Copan can be complete without a close encounter with the quarters of the royal families at “las Sepulturas”site, we will complete our Copan visit with a tour of the Macaw Mountain Bird Sanctuary, evening at leisure, Hotel Marina

DAY 05

Today, we enter Guatemalan territory heading to the Maya ruins of Tikal, touring the site of Quirigua and the Rio Dulce area along the way, we arrive at Flores near Tikal late afternoon, evening is free, accommodations at hotel Petén Esplendido.

DAY 06

Prepare yourself for our day of Maya exploration at Tikal, the largest Maya site in Central America, to admire the high raise pyramids that elevate above the rain forest, we will also visit the museum of archaeology, late afternoon return to Flores, Hotel Petén Esplendido

DAY 07

You will be driven to the airport to catch your domestic flight to Guatemala city, upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Antigua Guatemala for a day touring of this magnificent colonial town and overnight. Hotel Las Farolas

DAY 08

At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the Guatemala city airport for international departure.
