ITINERARY

DAY 01

Arrive at San Pedro Sula, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel, evening is at leisure, overnight at Hotel Clarion

DAY 02

Today we will have a half day tour of San Pedro Sula, known as the industrial capital of Honduras, a modern bustling city that treasures its rich history and tradition of the banana emporium era, a tour of a banana plantation and packing station as well as commercial and residential areas are included along with a visit to the local artisans market. In the afternoon, we depart for Copan to arrive later in the evening, overnight at Hotel Marina Copan.

DAY 03

In the morning, we will have a guided tour of the main archaeological site that features the hieroglyphic staircase, the ball court and the famous stelas, in the afternoon, discover the various artifacts and art work carved in stone at the museum of Maya sculpture and the museum of archaeology, evening is at your disposal to stroll around the cobble stone streets of the town of Copan and visit its numerous restaurants, coffee and souvenir shops, overnight at Hotel Marina Copan.

DAY 04

No visit to Copan can be complete without a close encounter with the quarters of the royal families at “Las Sepulturas” site, we will complete our Copan visit with a tour of the Macaw Mountain Bird Sanctuary, evening is free, overnight at Hotel Marina Copan.

DAY 05

Today we are on our way to central Honduras where the terrain becomes mountainous and greener which provides for some of the most spectacular scenery, on our way, we will visit the beautiful waterfall of Pulhapanzak before we arrive at Lake Yojoa to enjoy its natural surroundings, overnight at Hotel Finca Las Glorias.

DAY 06

Get ready for an early morning short drive to Cerro Azul Meambar National Park where we will hike though its trails and learn about the natural wonders preserved in this eco environment, then, we depart for Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras for a late afternoon arrival, along the way we will visit the Taulabe natural caves and the colonial town of Comayagua, overnight at Hotel Plaza del General.

DAY 07

Tegucigalpa is not only the capital city of Honduras but further a colonial town of abundant history, we will enjoy a morning tour of both modern and colonial districts, the Basilica of Suyapa and a sweeping view of the metropolitan area at the foot of the giant figure of Christ located at Picacho hill. We will finish our Honduras mainland tour visiting two charming old mining colonial towns, Santa Lucia and Valle de Angeles that are home to the local artisans school and many souvenir shops, giving you the opportunity to acquire all the gifts you need to take back home, evening in town is free, overnight at Hotel Plaza del General.

DAY 08

Today is our farewell, at the appropriate time you guide will drive you to the airport to catch your international flight.
